NEXT IN™ provides LV electrical services including distribution boards, electrical wiring, industrial and commercial works, residential wiring support and smart split meter related services.
These services are suitable for commercial buildings, industrial premises, developers, facilities teams and selected residential projects that require compliant delivery.
Yes. The stated operating model includes design, engineering, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance.
NEXT IN™ offers refurbished computers and servers, NAS solutions, Wi-Fi access point installation, IP phone systems and broader IT infrastructure setup.
Yes. Structured network infrastructure and cabling are part of the company service mix for commercial and government environments.
The target audience includes SMEs, corporate offices, hospitality operators and government departments that need practical infrastructure support.
ELV stands for Extra Low Voltage. ELV systems include CCTV, access control, alarm systems, intercom, structured data cabling and other communication systems that operate below 50V AC or 120V DC — separate from standard mains electrical circuits.
Traditional CCTV cameras use analogue signals recorded to a DVR, while IP cameras transmit digital video over a network to an NVR. IP cameras generally offer higher resolution, remote access via app and more flexible placement — though they require a stable network infrastructure to function reliably.
CCTV is not universally mandatory for all commercial premises in Malaysia, but is required or strongly recommended for regulated environments such as financial institutions, government facilities, petrol stations and certain retail classifications. Many commercial tenants install CCTV proactively for insurance, operational and compliance purposes.
A DVR works with analogue cameras over coaxial cable — lower cost for smaller setups. An NVR works with IP cameras over CAT6/CAT6A cabling and supports higher resolution, remote access and future scalability. For new commercial or office installations in Malaysia, NVR-based IP camera systems are generally recommended.
A basic access control installation (1–3 doors with biometric or RFID readers) typically takes 1–2 days. Larger multi-door systems integrated with CCTV, alarm and network infrastructure may take 3–7 days depending on site size, cabling requirements and programming.
NEXT IN™ installs structured network cabling using CAT6 and CAT6A standards, following ANSI/TIA-568 practices. CAT6 is suitable for most office environments; CAT6A supports 10 Gbps over longer runs and is recommended for higher-bandwidth or future-proofed installations.

A Type A RCCB detects both AC and pulsating DC residual currents — suitable for general electrical circuits including most appliances. A Type B RCCB detects smooth DC residual currents in addition to AC and pulsating DC — required for three-phase inverter equipment, EV chargers and solar PV inverters. NEXT IN™ selects the appropriate RCCB type during distribution board design.
Signs that a distribution board (DB) panel needs upgrading include: frequently tripping MCBs, no RCCB protection on circuits, undersized main switch for current load, the panel is more than 15–20 years old, or you are adding new high-load equipment (air conditioning, EV charger, industrial machinery). NEXT IN™ assesses DB condition as part of any electrical works engagement.
NEXT IN™ prepares as-built drawings and basic schematic layouts for the systems installed. For full M&E (mechanical and electrical) engineering drawings required for regulatory submission or IBS coordination, NEXT IN™ can advise on the scope and coordinate with the relevant consultants.
A DVR (Digital Video Recorder) records from analogue cameras over coaxial cable. An NVR (Network Video Recorder) records from IP cameras over CAT6/CAT6A cabling and supports higher resolution and remote access. An HVR (Hybrid Video Recorder) accepts both analogue and IP camera inputs — useful when upgrading an existing analogue system incrementally. NEXT IN™ installs NVR-based IP systems for new installations and HVR solutions for staged upgrades.
For standard coverage, 2MP (1080p) IP cameras are the baseline for most commercial environments. 4MP or 5MP cameras are recommended where face identification or number plate reading at distance is required. 8MP (4K) cameras provide wide-area coverage or significant digital zoom capability. NEXT IN™ recommends specifications based on coverage area, lighting conditions and storage budget.
There is no universal statutory minimum for CCTV retention in Malaysia, but industry practice and certain regulatory frameworks (banking, government, petrol stations) recommend a minimum of 30 days. Some regulated environments require 60–90 days. NEXT IN™ sizes NVR storage capacity to your required retention period based on camera count and recording resolution.
Structured cabling is a standardised approach to installing network cabling using a defined physical layout: patch panel at the top, cable runs to each data point, labelled and terminated consistently. It makes the network easy to troubleshoot, expand and document. Ad-hoc cabling that grows organically creates management problems as a business scales. NEXT IN™ installs structured cabling to ANSI/TIA-568 standards across Klang Valley.
Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) improves on Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) with higher throughput, better performance in high-density environments with many concurrent users, lower latency and improved battery efficiency for connected devices. For offices with many simultaneous users, IoT devices or wireless IP cameras, Wi-Fi 6 access points deliver meaningfully better performance. NEXT IN™ supplies Wi-Fi 6 access points as part of network infrastructure projects.
A VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network) creates separate logical network segments on the same physical switch. Common uses: separating CCTV cameras from staff computers, creating an isolated guest Wi-Fi network, or segmenting different departments. Any office with CCTV cameras sharing the network with staff computers, or that offers guest Wi-Fi, benefits from VLAN configuration. NEXT IN™ sets up VLANs as part of managed switch deployment.
Yes. NEXT IN™ provides maintenance support for security, electrical and IT systems installed by the company. Maintenance scopes can include scheduled inspection visits, preventive maintenance for CCTV and access control systems, and response support for faults. Contact NEXT IN™ to discuss the appropriate maintenance arrangement for your installed systems.
Upon project completion, NEXT IN™ provides as-built documentation appropriate to the project scope — typically including cable schedules, device lists, configuration records and test reports. For electrical works, TNB submission documents and inspection certificates are provided where applicable. Specific documentation requirements can be confirmed during the scoping stage.
Yes. For sites that cannot accommodate installation works during normal business hours — such as operational offices, retail premises or facilities with active occupants — NEXT IN™ can schedule works outside business hours or on weekends. This should be discussed during the project scoping stage so staffing and access arrangements can be planned accordingly.
Yes. NEXT IN™ is a TNB (Tenaga Nasional Berhad) Approved contractor. This authorises NEXT IN™ to carry out electrical works that connect to the TNB supply network, including new supply applications, supply upgrades and meter-related works. TNB Approval is particularly relevant for EV charger installations and new commercial electrical connections that require a supply capacity increase.
Electric fence energiser coverage depends on the output joule rating and the number of fence wire runs. A standard commercial energiser (5–10J) can power 5–15km of single-wire fence. For perimeters with multiple wire runs (typically 6–10 wires stacked vertically), effective coverage per energiser is proportionally reduced. NEXT IN™ designs electric fence systems to Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission) standards and sizes energiser capacity to the perimeter and wire configuration.
NEXT IN™'s primary service area is Klang Valley — covering Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Puchong, Subang Jaya, Shah Alam, Klang and Seri Kembangan. For projects in Johor, Penang, Melaka or other states, NEXT IN™ can discuss scope depending on project size and requirements. Contact the team to assess feasibility for out-of-area engagements.
