FAQ
They can be worth it when convenience, access control, audit visibility and multi-user management matter. Suitability depends on door type, usage pattern and the level of security required.
Yes. NEXT IN™ installs digital door locks for commercial offices, managed properties, serviced residences and government premises across Klang Valley, in addition to standard residential applications.
Door material, frame condition, lock compatibility, usage pattern, backup access method and user management requirements should all be checked before installation.
Most digital door locks use AA batteries and last 6–12 months under normal daily use (30–50 operations per day). Locks with low-battery alerts will notify you via beep or LED indicator before the battery dies completely.
Most digital locks include a mechanical key override for emergency entry. Some models also have a 9V battery terminal on the exterior that allows temporary power from an external battery pack to unlock the door.
Reputable digital locks from established brands use encrypted communication and anti-tamper alerts. Physical bypass remains a greater risk than electronic attack for most residential and light commercial applications — door frame strength and hinges matter as much as the lock itself.
